Downtown Louisville and Whiskey Row (Main Street's bourbon-bar corridor) sit a short drive or rideshare west. Old Louisville and the Highlands neighborhoods add further dining options for a fuller weekend itinerary. The Louisville Slugger Museum, the KFC Yum! Center (Louisville Cardinals basketball), and the broader bourbon-distillery district anchor the wider sports-travel itinerary in the city.

The stadium opened in April 2020 with a base capacity of roughly 11,700 and is designed to expand to about 15,304 with future build-out. Both Louisville City FC (USL Championship) and Racing Louisville FC (NWSL) play at the venue — confirm which club is hosting on the date you're visiting and check that club's site for current bag and entry policy. Mobile-only ticketing is standard. The walk through NuLu from downtown is a legitimate match-day option in good weather and lets you build dinner into the approach.

The Butchertown location was chosen as part of a broader neighborhood redevelopment that has also added apartments and other commercial buildout adjacent to the stadium since 2020.
