Plan to arrive about 45-60 minutes before first pitch — downtown Lansing parking flow is gentle on most weeknight dates and busier on fireworks Fridays, weekend dates, and any Michigan State University event-overlap nights. Jackson Field opened in 1996 as Oldsmobile Park (named for the General Motors Oldsmobile division, then still based in Lansing) and was later renamed Cooley Law School Stadium (2011-2021) and then Jackson Field in 2021 under the naming-rights agreement with Jackson Financial / Jackson National Life Insurance, the Lansing-headquartered financial-services company.
