BMO Stadium

Exposition Park around the stadium is one of LA's most concentrated cultural destinations — the California Science Center (home to the Space Shuttle Endeavour), the Natural History Museum, the California African American Museum, and the Rose Garden are all within a 10-minute walk. USC's University Park campus sits to the north. The pre-game bar scene is centered on Figueroa Street north of the stadium toward USC; otherwise this is more a cultural park than a traditional bar-and-restaurant district. Downtown LA is a short E Line ride away with a much denser dinner scene if you'd rather eat first and train in. The new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is under construction in Exposition Park and scheduled to open soon, adding another anchor to the neighborhood.

Plan to arrive 60–90 minutes before kickoff — the E Line from downtown is the most reliable transit move and skips matchday traffic on the 110. The 3252 supporters' section at the north end of the stadium is the standout atmosphere area — even non-supporter ticketholders should know to expect smoke, drums, and tifo displays. BMO has one of the steeper seating bowls in MLS, intentionally tight to the field. Mobile-only ticketing is standard, and bag policy follows MLS standard guidance with size limits — check the LAFC site for current specifics. Sunset matches are visually distinctive with the downtown LA skyline visible from the upper deck.

BMO Stadium opened in April 2018 as Banc of California Stadium, the first open-air stadium built in Los Angeles in nearly a quarter-century, replacing the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena that stood on the same Exposition Park site. The venue was renamed BMO Stadium in 2023 under a new naming-rights deal with Bank of Montreal. The seating bowl is built tight to the touchlines — the closest seats are roughly 12 feet from the field — and the north supporters' end houses LAFC's 3252 supporters' group, named for the number of seats in their safe-standing terrace. The stadium also hosts the Angel City FC of the NWSL as the women's club's primary home. The roof canopy covers most seats but leaves the field open to LA's mild climate, and the elevated open south end frames a view of downtown's skyline behind the goal.
